2021 Bushvine Grenache
Frankland River Bushvine Grenache, grown in the ironstone gravels of the Swinney vineyards. The fruit was hand harvested, then crushed to small open top fermenters for wild fermentation. The ferment was plunged twice daily for the first 8 days, then left to soak on skins for a total of 21 days. The Grenache was then basket pressed to French oak (25% new).
The wine is bright and tensioned with aromas of raspberry coulis, rhubarb, sage, and spice. The palate is textured and framed by chalky tannin and refreshing acidity.
